OCMCO welcomes all children, youth, and adults in the community who agree to abide by its Code of Conduct, regardless of their religious affiliation. Participants in the choirs and orchestra are volunteers.
The children's and youth choruses ages 4 through 12th grade are non-audition. Children and youth must register online at Registration and Auditions.
The adult choir and symphony orchestra are audition only. Auditions will be held prior to the beginning of each semester in August/September and January. For audition information, please see Registration and Auditions.
For the specific details of each ensemble, please see Ensemble Overview.
Tuition/Fees
Orange County Mormon Choral Organization is among the most affordable music education organizations in America, and an inexpensive supplement to an academic education and private music lessons. Tuition or a participation fee is charged for the ensembles that rehearse on a weekly basis. Children/youth choirs are charged tuition for their weekly music education. Adult choir participants pay a nominal participation fee for their weekly music instruction. The proceeds from tuition and fees help to defray the expenses of the organization.
Tuition rates listed below for children's and youth ensembles are valid until 11:59 pm of the first rehearsal day each semester. Late registration rates (add $20) apply beginning at 12:00 am on the Friday following the first rehearsal day of the semester. Registration closes at midnight on the Monday following the second rehearsal day each semester. Tuition is paid online as part of the registration process. To register online, see Registration and Auditions.
The participation fee for the Orange County Mormon Choir (adults) is due prior to the first rehearsal. Adults who are accepted into the choir receive a password to access the Participants page and pay their fee online.
See exact tuition rates and participation fees for each ensemble in the table below.
Concert Attire
In addition to the tuition (children/youth) or participation fee (adult choir), all choral ensembles are required to purchase concert attire from OCMCO's retailer. The orchestra wears concert black.
